The Ivory Coast Food

The cuisine of Ivory Coast is based on fish, pork, grains, fresh fruits, vegetables, and tubers. Restaurants that serves traditional food, known as maquis, are usually found in open air courtyards. Local dishes include those such as kedjenou, which is chicken with braised vegetables. Common street food includes yam fries and fried fish, as well as aloko, which is fried bananas with chilli.
