Morroco Overview

Located on the west coast of Africa, Morroco is far north enough to share cultural roots with the Middle East as well as Africa. It is one of three countries, along with France and Spain, to have both an Atlantic and a Mediterranean coastline. Its official languages are Arabic and Berber, although French and Spanish are recognized as national languages and commonly spoken. Morroco's capital is Rabat, although Casablanca is the largest city. Other major cities include Marrakesh, Kenitra, and Tangier. Being a coastal country between many powerful ancient civilizations, Morocco has a colorful and fascinating history, as well as unique and diverse cultural practices.
