Côté D'Ivoire has very diverse food. Côté D'Ivoire's food is also known as Ivorian food. The Ivory Coast's main staples are roots and tubers (like roots: potatoes, ginger, etc.) The people of the Ivory Coast make a lot of their every day foods out of their staples. It is simple, since the plants are grown there all year long. Aussi, roots and tubers are very versatile.
Here are some common foods made out of Côte Divoire's staples, fruits, meats, and vegetables... Alloco is sliced, fried plantain, which is eaten not only there, but in other places all over the world (specifically the South American area.) Attiéké is grated cassava that is made into something very similar to couscous. In addition, there is something referred to by locals as poulet bicyclette. It is cooked Guinea fowl (a bird) that is very popular throughout the region. These three dishes that I mentioned are very common among the street markets making it an important part of residents' diets.
