Ivory Coast's Two Capitals
The Ivory Coast is one of fifteen countries out of 196 (195 if you exclude Taiwan) that has two capitals. Yamoussoukro is the administrative and political capital, while also serving as fourth largest city in the country. As of 2014 the population of Yamoussoukro is 355,573 people. The city is also said to be the largest place of Christian Worship. Abidjan serves as the economic capital and is listed as official capital of the country in most guidebooks. It is also the most prominent French speaking country in all of West Africa. It has a population of 4,707,404 which is 20% of the entire country.
