Grindelwald Snow Festival

Grindelwald Snow Festival

The Grindelwald snow festival, a.k.a. the “world snow festival” has become one of the most amazing and popular winter events in the Swiss town of Grindelwald. Every year in January, the festival is held in the natural ice-rink in the village canter of Grindelwald. Sculptors from all over the world come to the festival to carve the multi meter high blocks of ice and snow into a figure or an object that will be judged later on. The festival started over 30 years ago, and it has since become one of the biggest winter events in Switzerland.

  1. I did not know about either of these festivals - interesting! Nice clear reporting too.
